Being active - Inside & out

Hi all!

You often hear people dropping the phrase "it's just mind over matter".

It’s supposed to be a motivational phrase, but it’s so often oversimplified that its become a real cliche. You can probably lump it in with “no pain no gain” for the least imaginative and most often suggested piece of advice you’ll get. Generally, this will be unhelpfully offered to you if you’re trying to complete a fitness challenge, or more rarely, if you’re mentally straining to get through a tough old time at work or some other task.

However, like most sayings with such a long history, there’s a lot of truth to “mind over matter”. Okay, so obviously you won’t be paying your next electricity bill with just the power of your mind (if you figure out a way to do that, let me know!), but here at Anam we have a particular view on the topic which fully aligns with the old saying.

We prefer to look at life in terms of being active, both on the inside andon the outside! When we’re not physically active, we think its best to try to be internally energetic. As you know, at Anam, we are passionate about encouraging people to find their own pace, and to love themselves for exactly who they are and what they can do. We hope you remain active and making an effort to love yourselves, even when you’re totally flattened, when your body is exhausted, or when you just need a break from whatever it is you’re working on.

Like everything worthwhile, that’s easier said than done, but to look on the bright side, and to find something that keeps you motivated to reach your goals, is widely seen as a key factor in motivating success. Lets fact it, you’re going to get up off the couch again sooner or later and get back to work, and we want you to be as prepared as possible. Don’t let that time on the couch go to waste! Hey, that’s exactly why we say our AnamActivewear is designed to be comfortable and effective whether you’re pounding the pavement or reclining on a comfy sofa. It’s literally clothing designed with this philosophy in mind!

Developing and nurturing our thoughts, our outlooks, and our attitudes isway more important in the long term than our appearances or our competitive or professional achievements. In our opinion, that’s mind over matter!

Love,

A
